Nesting and Birthday fun!

So we close on our house in less than a week and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Last weekend I went garage saling and to the Master Gardener's plant sale and found some great plants and things for our new yard. This morning I went to a fantastic estate sale and also to some local stores to find some other things I've been looking for, and some I wasn't looking for:

I got a pair of these sweet lamps for $15, the vintage song book for $2, and the cute enamel pots are going in my green kitchen!
Ooo, and then I got a small acid green chandelier for my kitchen also. I can't wait to decorate! 5 days until closing!

My birthday was this past wednesday and I had a super time! It happened to also be administrative assistants day, and there was cake and presents waiting for me at work. I seriously love my job. Everyone that I work with is so great. I couldn't feel luckier! After work, I went with some of my favorite people to see the new Disney movie, Earth. Loved it!

Last night I went out to eat with my mom dad and sister for my birthday at Bonsai and had sushi, and my parents gave me a beautiful locket:
Anna gave me some wonderful Starbucks tumblers with the best travel lids I've ever seen. And they're super cute! I love them! Wow, it's been a fun birthday week!

"Ring by Spring"

...has a new meaning at HSU. Last night I got my class ring at the HSU Ring Rally! It was really neat and my family was there. HSU gives all of its graduates official school rings now which I think is a way cool tradition.

I'm glad my parents were there! They really deserve a ring from HSU!

I've gotten two special rings while at Hardin-Simmons!

Also yesterday, we finally heard back from the seller and it looks like things are going to work oug great with our house! We're so excited! We can't wait to paint, decorate, have friends over, and make our place our own.

Wow! Yesterday was an awesome day!

Cutest song ever!

So, to add on to my last post, here is an ADORABLE video by Drew Daburry! Please check it out for proof that there is still fresh, happy, lovely music out there! Oh, and btw, the gal in the video is the one who made the satchel.

surprise!

Austin surprised me one night with a super cute hand made satchel made by : Lady Danburry Follow the link to see her Etsy shop! Her husband plays music and Austin played a show with him this week and she was selling her wares at the show. My bag looks like this one...

...only it's a lovely lavendery color with vintage purple buttons! And has a vintage yellow floral fabric inside. So cute! It comes with a hand written note telling you where the materials come from. Mine said, "your satchel was made from vintage fabric from American Fork, Utah and vitage buttons from Mrs Holman of Delta, Utah"

Makes me want to break out my vintage Singer and get to work! Austin knows me pretty well, wouldn't you say? Kudos!
